April 22 • Seattle & Then the Cruise Begins
We walked a few more miles around Seattle before reporting in at the cruisers corral in a hotel suite, where we met some of our ship-mates and prepared to depart from Salmon Bay. We passed from fresh to salt water as we moved through the Hiram Chittenden Locks, then cruised around Shilshole Bay and out into Puget Sound.

April 23 • Vancouver After passing through customs, we enjoyed a bus drive to the Capilano Suspension Bridge. I crossed and played in the tree walk, and along the educational nature trail. Deana used water-colours to paint a picture of a totem pole, and listened to our guest lecturer, anthropologist Vickie Jensen. We were lucky to share a table at lunch with Vickie, and one of our on-board naturalists, Copper. |
